Phantom OG Strain Review
Phantom OG also known as Phantom OG Kush, is an Indica dominant cannabis strain.
This strain begins with heightened energy that eventually evens out to a full body relaxation.
Beyond the OG Kush genes, the genetic lineage of Phantom OG is largely unknown. However, some claim that Phantom OG is related to “Planetary Kush” which includes Mars OG, Jupiter OG, and Earth OG.
Let’s get into this strain and why so many people love it.

Phantom OG Strain Review: Flavor and Aroma
The Phantom OG aroma is a blend of pine with lemon and an accented menthol taste.
Additionally, the most dominant aromatic notes are menthol, spicy/herbal, and pine. This strain is quite the aromatic experience. The herbal and spicy notes have calming and medicinal properties that attribute to the indica traits of this strain.
Caryophyllene is the dominant terpene in this strain which is responsible for many medicinal benefits such as pain relief and relaxation.

Feelings and Effects
The initial euphoric surge will send you into your happy place; expect uncontrollable giggles.
You’ll also feel an increase in concentration, allowing you to still complete tasks but from a more euphoric and happy state.
Eventually, as your body winds down from the intense change in energy levels and euphoria, you will begin to unwind into an impending state of sleepiness.
The top effects are giggly, relaxed, and sleepy. In that order.
Additionally, this is a great strain for those who struggle with insomnia, appetite loss, chronic pain, or arthritis. The abundance of caryophyllene makes this strain incredible at helping to reduce inflammation in the body and reducing pain.
We would be remiss to not elaborate on some of the negatives that this strain is known for. These include dry mouth, headaches, and paranoia.
The paranoia is due to the fact that this strain is pretty high in THC, around 17-20%. Taking too much THC can lead to paranoia and anxiety in some users. Anxiety and paranoia are common adverse side effects of THC, especially in users who don’t have a well-developed tolerance.
